Julia Purinton

Fine artist and muralist Julia Purinton divides her time between urban Washington, DC and a small rural village in Vermont. Both homes are reflected in Purinton's evocative landscapes and cityscapes. Working in oils, acrylics, venetian plaster and glaze, Purinton's work has the luminous glow and vintage romance her greatest influences; William Turner, John Singer Sargent and the Brandywine River School painters.
Frequently exhibiting in support of environmental causes in the Mid-Atlantic region and New England, Purinton has been featured at Essex County Greenbelt’s Art in the Barn, The Trustees of Reservations’ Crane Estate Art Show, the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, MD, and Oxford Fine Arts annual Art Show.
