Hobart born photographer Benny Dilger first picked up a camera in high school. After moving to Sydney on a whim at the age of 18, he found himself living in Bondi Beach with a group of friends from his island state. Benny loved being an observer to the big energy and cultural mix of Bondi, a far cry from the sleepy Tasmanian suburb of Lindisfarne. Drawn to the coast by the landscape and beautiful light that Sydney has to offer, it became a constant hangout to document and capture the beautiful beaches that attract people from all over the world.
Benny’s photography evokes a mood and emotion drawn from various influences, including a love for cinema, that isn’t always associated with landscape photography. His collection of fine art photography incorporates people into the scene that gives each image an element of time that can’t be repeated.
