We’ve put together a few tips to get you started on finding the right piece of art for your home.
1# Find something you love
It reflects your taste, your personality, and your sense of style.
You can go through the different themes on ArtHouse Co and start narrowing down to the ones that you have an affinity with.
It may be City & Architecture (remember that trip to Paris!), the Beach (you can’t get enough of Bondi’s dazzling sand and fashion parade of bodies), Fashion (Dior never falls to transcend), the calmness of Minimalist Art or your love of Nature! Whatever it is, find what you are connected to.
2# Colour palette
Whether the colour palette is already defined in the room or you are designing your interior from scratch, you need to create a cohesive palette that stretches across the room.
3# Size
Here’s where practicality comes in, although don’t be afraid to be bold.
Do you want a statement piece (150cm or larger) or a gallery set (3 or more smaller artworks next to one another)?
Measure your wall and determine the size you’d like. To really get a feel for how much real estate it’ll take up on the wall, map it out using masking tape!
